Lengthening of Days

We are climbing out of the pit of Winter. The sun waits around longer and longer each day before painting the sky orange and the birds are doing more than just clearing their throats. However...

...things have been pretty much locked up on the beach over the last month, so work has been minimal and mostly limited to moving some stone into caches. I did make one large painting, so the month wasn't a total wash. It is a 48" by 30" continuation of some of the smaller explorations of earlier this year. I like the result. Zebra mussels, leaves, pebbles, sticks and sand that regularly migrate onto the beach and then off again. Warm earth tones and Northern European business of space and composition. I think it will be my Spring show piece.
